About
Welcome to Xbox Dad.com
This site is dedicated to helping parents in the 21st century with entertainment and gadgets that are Family Friendly.
I used to contribute to the Xbox.com website under the persona of “Xbox Dad”, but the column was cancelled in 2008 so I needed a new place to share my opinions on video games that are friendly for kids.  This site is a personal project and is not owned or managed by Microsoft Corporation.
Originally, this site ran under the name “Christian Gamer Dad.com” but it was important to us that anyone who is interested in learning which games might be healthy for your child enjoy the site. So, you don’t have to be Christian (or a Dad) to enjoy this site. You just have an interest in having fun alongside your kids and ensuring them a safe environment to explore some of the amazing technologies that most of us wish that we’d had when we were kids.
Â
This site is privately funded as a service to parents to give information on what their kids are, should or shouldn’t be playing. Â
To help defer costs (but not intended for profit), we are ‘affiliates’ of GameStop, BestBuy and Amazon – meaning that if you purchase any games from the links that we provide, you will pay the same as you normally would, but we receive minor compensation to help us fund this website.  Donations also gratefully appreciated.
